Plumeria Theft in Naples – Be On The Lookout

A Naples resident had dozens of plumeria stolen from her yard last weekend. The thief was very selective, taking very rare varieties. It happened on a Saturday morning while she was out for a brief time. Plants were hacked apart, some were left scattered, a sign that whoever it was was startled. If you are a collector, consider keeping your prized flowers and plants out of public view. If you have tags on them, switch to a coded system, rather than names. Most importantly, be careful who you give your address to, and when shipping don’t put your home address on the return label.
